About Randall H. Miller
Me: Randall H. Miller
Since: May of 1971
Where: Born in Ohio but grew up in North Andover, Massachusetts.
Experience: Was a U.S. Army Officer (2nd Infantry in South Korea, then 82nd Airborne) and Salesman (pharmaceuticals and then high-tech commodities). Wrote and self-published a novel in 2004, The Xpatriot. Even worked a little on the side with a pro-”rasslin’” company at one point.
Currently I’m a college educator (adjunct instructor working on a Ph.D. in International Development) who blogs. Returned to Massachusetts on December 31st, 2008, after 6 years of living and teaching in the Dominican Republic.
Education: Master of Arts in Diplomacy (concentration in International Terrorism), Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, both from Norwich University. I’m also working on a Ph.D. through the University of Southern Mississippi’s Department of Political Science, International Development and International Affairs. I study full-time and also serve as a graduate research assistant. Current research topics include nation-state building and contemporary U.S. foreign policy toward the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Political affiliation: Unenrolled. I started out a registered Democrat in 1989, then jumped to the Republican Party, eventually became a proud Libertarian and, most recently, joined the ranks of the independents – neither betrothed nor beholden.
Hobbies: All things political (but I prefer international relations type stuff), movies, music, reading, learning, writing, teaching, relaxing with family and friends, blogging, and more.
Member of the American Political Science Association, the Masonic Lodge (33rd Degree), the American Legion, and Amnesty International.
Always looking to network and collaborate on cool projects.
