Conspiracy Theorists Rejoice!!!!
By now I’m sure you’ve heard of the unscheduled stop taken by Senator Obama’s plane on a recent campaign flight. The unplanned detour into St. Louis was uneventful and thankfully no one was hurt. Reportedly, an emergency slide inflated mid-flight in the tail cone. The area in which the slide inflated was packed full of hydraulic lines and control lines whose operation could potentially be impacted by a large, unexpected object (the inflatable slide) suddenly filling the otherwise empty space.
For a brief period of time the pilot(s) had difficulty correcting the pitch of the aircraft and passengers were advised they might need to assume a crash position. Fortunately the pilots were able to rectify the problem and bring the plane back under control. They then executed an emergency landing in St. Louis where they were met on the ground by fire trucks and other rescue equipment.
So, why are the Conspiracy Theory Idiots going to have a blast with this one? Obama’s plane was on the ground being serviced. The plane in question (the one that malfunctioned) was on loan to him from Senator Clinton’s campaign…

Well that one is obvious! Do you really think Clinton would just crawl back into her hole after being defeated? Of course not. It she goes down, Obama goes down. Funny story.

That’s hilarious because you are absolutely right. Some people are undoubtedly going to talk about how “suspicious” the entire situation is.
On a more serious note: Why is the inflatable emergency slide kept in an area that could compromise the functionality of the plane? That doesn’t seem like a very good place to keep it.

@Charles,
What’s even more funny is that in researching around for this article, I found that this isn’t the first time something like this happened on this type of plane. In other words, it’s a known problem.
Too funny.
