Extremism is Rarely a Good Thing

This kind of stuff does not help the cause. What they hell are these people thinking? (Hat-tip to Frank the Tank)

Which is scarier? Militant Youths or Religion Obsessed Youths? Personally, I’d prefer neither.

  1. What the hell is that first video? Who is organizing that crap? I agree that extremism of any kind is not good (whether that be support of a belief, a desire, a leader, a behavior, etc…).

I don’t understand the purpose of having these young men march around and engage in this ritualistic behavior. What is the point? If these young men can memorize their lines for the shouting, surely they can voice why they support Obama in a way that shows they understand the principles rather than rote memorization of lines. I think calm statements of belief would be far more powerful than this performance.

  2. That was wack(the Obama kids)! But hey, I didn’t hear(but couldn’t hear it all) anything negative about anyone. Nor did I hear anything that suggested to hate or be violent. So, if that’s how they want to get motivated about life, get behind a positive message and be more productive citizens then more power to them.

Not sure if all the body language, Camouflage pants(which I think was more of a fashion statement then a warrior statement. But I could be wrong) and the need to get in a line and go over Obama’s platform is necessary. But, whatever works for them.

The kids praying to Bush. What can I say? I just look at that as a bunch of kids wishing another person well. They just do it in a religious manner. And because I find religion humorous, the video to me is funny.

As a father, I just can’t see any of these children in these videos as extremism, militant and/or obsessed. They are still kids and 99%of them will grow up and realize they have crazy parents.

    Just an opinion
