The Sarah “Barracuda” Palin Effect

This is what McCain’s campaign looked like before Sarah “Barracuda” Palin strutted and winked her way into our hearts. Now the base is fired up and downright frightening to watch. Thankfully, McCain tried to calm some of them down last night. We’ll see this week if that’s the signal of a new direction or not. He could have been just covering his own ass because he was standing right there.

The GOP rally-goers we saw this past week will not soon be forgotten. The vitriol has reached a new low. The only thing missing at the McCain/Palin rallies were the pitchforks and torches. Scary stuff.
